Taking PE as an option?
Our instructors are specialised in delivering the Oxfordshire school curriculum criteria, helping your child succeed and gain GCSE, A’ Levels results.
You can even use your Trampolining skills as part of your Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award…..but most of all, you have great amounts of fun!!
Our award winning team have over 30 years combined experience teaching within schools, enabling students to excel and obtain excellent GCSE and A ‘Level results, compete for the British School Championships or just to get involved in sport as often team sports are not suited for everyone.
The beauty of our sport, is everyone works at their own pace and will achieve. Lunch time and extra curriculum activities are often popular within the schools and during these sessions, children can work towards badges and certificates. Pupils will also have the opportunity to represent their school in sporting competitions, displays and performances as appropriate.
In 2009, HETGC appointed a School Liaison officer who secured a contract working in partnership with British Gymnastics & Oxfordshire School Sports Partnership as a Trampoline School Sports Coach. This opportunity allowed us to develop strong links with the local secondary schools and their feeder primary schools.
This opened up a direct pathway for children to access high quality coaching and develop a training pathway within Higher Energy Trampoline Gymnastics Club.
Working with the SSCO’s, HETGC delivered taster sessions to over 800 primary school children during the National Sports week, across the County, as well as giving talks during school assemblies on the run up to the Olympics 2012.
We are very fortunate to have close relationships with our SSCO’s, in particular Jo Phillips from Chipping Norton School, who actively promoted Higher Energy TGC to their partnership families at the beginning of our journey.
HETGC is certified as an official work placement, allowing pupils with a passion for coaching to gain valuable work experience. To date, we have mentored 61 young coaches though the British Gymnastics coaching programme and D of E awards. Several of the young coaches now volunteer their time within the local community, assisting HETGC coaches.
Going into 2017/18…..HETGC hope to engage primary pupils by offering 6 week “pop up clubs” within local primary schools, giving every child the opportunity to try this exciting Olympic sport. We then offer an exit route directly into one of our several satellite locations across the County.
We are also in the pilot stages of rolling out our unique Talent Identification programme. Those who qualify, will be eligible for funded training into our Elite training programme in partnership with the prestigious City of Oxford Trampoline Academy.
