Recreational Taster Session

  • Welcome to Higher Energy Trampoline Gymnastics Club. We trust your child will feel welcome and enjoy their two PAYG taster sessions and will go on to achieve their sporting potential within the Club. HETGC provides a child – centred, coach – led programme designed to help your child develop their optimum level of performance. During the sessions, your child will be working alongside the British Gymnastics award scheme and gain certificates and badges for their efforts. All our coaches have been trained through British Gymnastics and have been screened for their suitability to work with children.

    HOW TO JOIN

All parents/Guardians who leave children at the club MUST have read the clubs code of conducts. If your child decides to join, please email us to confirm you wish to join and we shall send you our electronic welcome pack. The registration form must be returned before the 3rd session so we can get your child suitably inured with our brokers. HOW DO I PAY

We offer two pay as you go taster sessions with free insurance, then fees are payable by Standing Order. The Standing Order is due on the first of each calendar month and we ask you to pay the balance due until the Standing Order is set up by cheque. These payments will continue throughout the year including school holidays as this spreads your costs more efficiently through the year. We train 34 weeks spread over 52 weeks. Details on how to pay session fees will be found in your welcome pack. If you wish to leave, we ask for one calendar month notice and you are in control of cancelling your S/O. No refunds will be given if you forget to do so.

    PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOS & MOBILE PHONES

Parents are asked not to take photographs or use video equipment on leisure centre premises, which may coincidently include you or your Childs image. This is in accordance to your National Governing Bodies ethics and welfare policies. Photographs are permitted after completion of the clubs consent form.

    SIGNING IN/OUT

We would expect all children under the age of 8 years olds to be escorted into and out of the leisure centre. As part of our child protection policy, we do not allow Gymnasts to meet their parents in the car park; they must be collected from the reception. Older children are permitted to walk home if we receive a written consent form from parents/guardians.

    CLOTHING

Our club training leotard must be worn at all sessions. If you are new to the club, shorts/leggings and a plain white T-Shirt are acceptable. White socks or trampoline shoes must be worn. We advise you clearly name your Childs uniform to avoid mix ups.

    MEDICATION/MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

In the event of a medical emergency you will be contacted as soon as possible or your emergency contact if you are unavailable.

  • Trampolining involves a certain amount of ‘Risk’. Whilst all precautions are taken and all safety standards observed, accidents do regrettably, on occasions occur. I understand that Oxford Sports Education & HETGC insurance does not cover personal accident or injury to persons of the group, or loss/damage to personal property unless it can be shown that this was due to the negligence of OSE & HETGC employees, helpers or assistances during the sessions.

Want to help the club? Here are a few suggestions…

Do you have a spare 5 minutes at the beginning or end of the session? We would be grateful if you are able to assist us with clearing the mats at the end of the training session.

As you may be aware, we are starting to take a small number of gymnasts to competitions, and at the moment we can only take four since we do not have enough judges to take any more. For every three gymnasts we must supply a judge/official. You do not need to be a coach to be able to judge, just be willing to represent the club. If selected to judge, you must be able to do so for the duration of the competition. Without judges, we can not compete. If this is something you would like to know more about then please contact the club.

Welfare officers – The safety and welfare of our gymnasts is paramount, we are fortunate to have welfare officers within our club, however we are GYM mark registered therefore we welcome additional support.

If you are interested, we will place you on two BG child protection courses, where you will be educated on BG policies and procedures with regard to child protection which the club follow and how to deal with and issues should it occur with in the club.

Fundraisers – Do you have a creative mind? Good at organising events? The club is always looking for ways to fund raise. If you have any ideas, no matter how small, then please let the fundraiser know… all pennies add up and with them we can fund courses or buy new equipment. (Please note we are currently looking for some one to fill this role if interested please contact the club).
